He’ll explore how a noisy geopolitical landscape, economic uncertainties, and shifting consumer behaviours could signal a turning point – and what it means for the UK tourism sector.

Shaon Talukder

CEO & FOUNDER

Geotourist

Shaon will present “More With Less: Solving the Productivity & Investment Crisis in the Visitor Economy with AI”, delving into the “Perfect Storm” currently facing the sector: the collision of the Funding Cliff, the administrative burden of the LVEP mandate, and critical data blind spots.
Moving beyond the hype of generic tools like ChatGPT, Shaon will explore the “Great Divergence” toward specialist AI-demonstrating how a digitised UK-Centric “Institutional Brain” like DMO Compass can transform destination management with local intelligence. From autonomous ‘Bid Writing Agents’ that turn bureaucracy into bankable assets, to closing the visibility gap between domestic & international visitors, this session explores the shift from mass promotion to hyper-personalised curation, cognitive stewardship & View-to-Visit precision attribution.

Alexander Göransson

Senior Consultant

Euromonitor

Alexander will present “Unlocking Future Demand for UK Tourism, offering an evidence-based look at the UK tourism landscape. His session will cover a UK statistics snapshot, highlight potential growth in domestic and inbound markets, and explore fast-growing categories such as destinations, lodging, activities, and experiences.

Drawing on international trends and data, Alexander will explore how premiumisation, passion-driven travel, and market segmentation will be shaping demand for the UK. He will highlight source markets with growth potential for UK tourism, looking at traveller types, and willingness to spend, and touch on the role of AI in enabling personalised, high-value travel experiences.

Join us to get a clear view of the opportunities shaping UK tourism.
