Overview
BACTA represents the amusement machine industry through innovative stakeholder engagement and intelligent lobbying. It provides an encyclopaedic resource for its members on all aspects of its members? businesses particularly on gambling and tax law. Those businesses span the amusement machine supply chain from machine manufacturers, component manufacturers and software engineers, through to single-site operators and proprietors of Adult Gaming Centres. Its members also cover the owners and operators of seaside and inland family entertainment centres. BACTA believes that the business environment should be a fair one. It lobbies for unfairness to redressed by government and others where possible. We support the campaign to cut the VAT rate for tourism to 5%, for particular policy emphasis to be applied to seaside regeneration, and for burdensome regulation to be removed. More specifically we wish to see greater recognition of the contribution the amusement and entertainment sector we represent makes to the economy and, most importantly, the enjoyment of the great British holiday.
