Visit Isle of Wight is the nationally accredited LVEP / DMO for the Isle of Wight, its core function is to market and promote the Island, off the Island. It is a public and private sector partnership led by the private sector. Our top ranking website (www.visitisleofwight.co.uk) receives over 2 million users a year. Our Industry website www.visitwightpro.com is used by tourism providers on the Island to share news, resources and campaign information.

The Island welcomes over 2 million visitors a year, mainly from the UK mainland (93%). Our visitors and tourism operators contribute over half a billion a year to the Island’s economy, making the Visitor Economy on the Isle of Wight, which equates to 38% of the Island’s overall economy, by far the largest economic driver for the Island.

We do this by running advertising campaigns, media events, press launches, affinity promotions, a widespread digital network of social media channels and partner collaborations, attending exhibitions, supporting and developing new festivals & events, developing trade relations, creating new reasons to visit and products for visitors to enjoy, and working closely with our industry to maximise our collective opportunities to attract more customers in the future.
