Overview
Enjoy Staffordshire leads the accredited Local Visitor Economy Partnership for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
As the official tourist board for region, the partnership is dedicated to raising the profile of the county and city as a quality destination to visit, working with local authorities, recognised by VisitBritain / VisitEngland, and other partners.
It is a partnership between the public sector and private sector with one common aim – to bring more visitors into Staffordshire. The partnership has a board of members representing the depth and breadth of the industry, with a chair from the private sector – currently vacant.
Our key objectives include:
• Agree the Partnership’s Tourism Strategy for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
• Devise and implement the LVEP Growth Plan.
• Facilitate research and monitoring to inform the decision-making process.
• Provide a focus for the development of key issues such as sustainable tourism.
• Coordinate marketing activity with three remits: attract more visitors to Staffordshire, encourage them to stay longer, and disperse them throughout the county.
• Provide an online presence via the Enjoy Staffordshire website and social media channels, to promote the county’s leisure and tourism product.
• Improve the skill base of people involved in the industry, promoting staff retention and recruitment within the sector through sign-posting to business support programmes such as the Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Growth Hub.
• Identify and share best practice and improve communication throughout the industry.
• Bid for funding to support these objectives.
Staffordshire County Council’s visitor economy team is responsible for the branding, marketing, administration, accountancy and other facilities needed to carry out the business of the partnership, and has adopted a researched consumer brand Enjoy Staffordshire and associated brand guidelines.
